Brazil has had a ’special relationship’ with Haiti for around six years, committing Brazilian troops under the United Nations banner to ‘police’ dangerous areas and help reduce crime. But it is not just peace keeping the Brazilians contribute they hospital facilities there as well.

I know, I’m having a rant, but the total disregard for human rights just makes me so mad. The G7 Nations have announced that the aid Haiti has been ‘given’ by them is to be ‘forgiven’. Most aid is in fact a loan with interest. Haiti was buried in debt long before the natural disaster that has buried them in rubble. Even if the G7 ‘forgiveness’ does materialise Haiti will still be indebted to the IMF, Venezuela and Taiwan. According to a Telegraph report French rescuers have found a 17-year-old girl, Darlene Etienne, alive who had been trapped for 15 days. Buried with his 10-year-old sister for almost eight days Kiki expresses his joy as his mother takes over from his rescuer. Kiki the world shares your joy.
