Joe Arpaio, the vicious, cruel and corrupt Sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona is a symbol of a society that has become infected with hatred and fear. Arpaio’s brand of ‘law enforcement’ is now becoming commonplace not only within the United States but wherever the US has or attempts to grab control. It’s infected the police [...] The creeping domination of “don’t be evil” Internet company Google of the Internet has now become so worrying that people and governments are questioning their motives. Nobody who is serious about using the internet for business, pleasure or campaigning can avoid using many of Google’s services. A kid directing traffic at New York’s JFK airport. Haiti was buried in debt long before the natural disaster that has buried them in rubble. Even if the G7 ‘forgiveness’ does materialise Haiti will still be indebted to the IMF, Venezuela and Taiwan. The British General Election will be in May or June. Remember the war-mongers that voted to send our troops to their deaths in the illegal wars – vote them out! Remember the cheats who stole from us with phony expenses (including the Prime Minister!) – vote them out! Remember the MPs who voted our freedoms away – vote them out! Here’s a story first read on the Reprieve web site that is not only disturbing in itself but even more disturbing that it exposes the Obama Administration as being, in it’s approach to openness and transparency at least, just as corrupt as the Bush regime. Haiti has been rocked by a major earthquake, 7.0 magnitude, and thousands are feared dead. Major buildings have collapsed including the presidential palace, the UN headquarters and schools. Many schoolchildren are amongst the dead, injured and missing. Today is my birthday but the second coming didn’t happen in 1944. Pity really I would have quite enjoyed walking on water. That is because I was a victim of police brutality on Saturday 13 and I am still suffering from the effects of it. All the details after Christmas. The cop who Tasered a 10-year-old girl for refusing to take a shower has been sacked. But not for torturing a 10-year-old little girl but for not turning the camera on that is attached to the Taser. The Duck Shoot blog supports the Amnesty International campaign for accountability for the war crimes we witnessed in Gaza.
