Here is an excellent video, a report of refugees being assimilated into a society and working to rebuild there lives. Instead of all the negative rubbish spouted by the xenophobes this short film made by Lisa Nova shows how people can achieve so much by working together.
“Millions of people around the world are uprooted from their homes by war and disaster. For those refugees who cannot return home, some have the chance to rebuild their lives in the United States. In the San Diego community, refugees from eight countries who have lost everything are working together to create something new,” says Lisa. “At the IRC New Roots Community Garden, refugees are embracing their human rights in even the simplest ways—in seeds and home-grown vegetables—as they build their lives in a new country.”
