Iraqi Hero Journalist Muntadar al-Zaidi “The Shoe Thrower” Was Tortured

Muntadar al-Zaidi, the Iraqi journalist who threw his shoes at war-criminal President George Bush, was tortured while in prison and now fears for his life.

Originally Mr al-Zaidi was sentenced to three-years in jail for his heroic act of, unfortunately, off-target footwear lobbing. This was reduced to one-year on appeal and he also got a further 3-month reduction for good behaviour.

He now claims he was tortured by senior government officials and that he will name names at a future time. His accusations are believable because torture has been the norm in Iraqi prisons for decades. It was continued by the Bush regime and the puppet government appointed by the American administration.

Now it has been reported he is seeking political asylum in another country possibly Switzerland. Just to remind and entertain you here’s the video of the incident.
