Israel Uses Illegal Weapons On Civilians

The photo above published on the BBC website show Israel firing white phosphorus shells into civilian areas of Gaza. Film of this criminal action was shown on news networks throughout the world. Despite this evidence the Israeli authorities deny their use and claim all weapons used are lawful.

The latest casualties include at least 60 people affected by suspected phosphorus shells, at least one woman has died. Yousef Abu Rish a Palestinian medic says “These people were burned over their bodies in a way that can only be caused by white phosphorous”

Human Rights Watch said multiple shell-bursts of white phosphorus were observed on 9th and 10th January close to Gaza City and Jabaliya refugee camp. Of course Israel has prevented foreign journalists into Gaza so that claims from inside Gaza cannot be substantiated.

If their action was legal and justified a gag on the press would not be necessary. But despite their denials the world knows the truth; Israel uses illegal weapons on civilians.
