Today’s march was the start of week-long protests demanding action on poverty, climate change and justice. The groups attending include trade unions, environmentalists, churches and anti-war groups. Placards bearing the slogans “Put People First”, “Jobs, Justice & Climate”, Out Of Iraq and Afghanistan” and “Hang A Banker” were waved by the marchers. Lord Myners was appointed to oversee the British Government’s bank bailout. The following clips from news stories here in the UK and around the world expose the greed of the bankers and the incompetence of the Government. The Australian got it right we’ve been mugged and I think the Government is up to its neck in it. What do you think? |
