“The unacceptable face of capitalism,” was first coined in 1973 by the then prime minister Edward Heath. Edward Heath was a Conservative (Tory) prime minister. Nothing has changed except that the unacceptable face of capitalism is uglier than anything referred to by Ted Heath.

The report says despite India’s rapidly developing economy, its police force remains behind the times. Its systems are antiquated and its officers operate above the law.” BBC Report.
What ensued is just too shocking to contemplate. The police from the Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh, India, who towered over the tiny girl, beat her up. The Station House Officer (SHO) and sub-Inspectors were involved and “decided to teach her a lesson”.
Women have raped and beaten, men and women tortured even children haven’t been spared. More than 1,000 have died in police custody over the last eight years. Few investigations are undertaken and no one brought to justice.
