London. A man was ambushed and stabbed when he went to buy a car from conmen in Barking, east London. He had responded to an ad on the web site Gumtree.

Successful Start To The G20 Protests In London

Today’s march was the start of week-long protests demanding action on poverty, climate change and justice. The groups attending include trade unions, environmentalists, churches and anti-war groups.

Placards bearing the slogans “Put People First”, “Jobs, Justice & Climate”, Out Of Iraq and Afghanistan” and “Hang A Banker” were waved by the marchers.

Airport Security – What a Load of Bollocks!

UPDATE: When reading this post remember it was written June, 2008 and some of the relaxed security measures have now been reinstated. I have travelled since to Brazil direct from London, UK with British Airways and I vowed never again with BA. The on-board staff are marvellous but frankly the infamous Terminal5 leaves a lot to be desired. I’ll probably use the train to Paris and fly from there with a Brazilian airline in future. Now read about the bollocks!
