The Duck Shoot blog supports the Amnesty International campaign for accountability for the war crimes we witnessed in Gaza. Amnesty members and supporters took action by writing and emailing their own governments to support the UN resolution. Here’s an email I received from Kristyan Benedict the campaign manager.
Amnesty is appealing for lovers of justice and peace to take a small action to help make war criminals accountable.
The United Nations has condemned both sides in the recent conflict in Gaza. Israel was censured for using disproportionate force in the three-week conflict. But the UN notes that war crimes were committed by Palestinians as well. Israel who refused to cooperate with the UN claims the report is one-sided.
I do not believe that all Jews would stand along side these fanatics. I do not believe that all Jews agree with the criminal acts of the Israeli government and military. I do not believe that all Jews have forgotten that once the Nazis were persecuting, starving, torturing and killing their grandparents, parents, uncles, aunts, cousins, brothers and sisters.
The latest casualties include at least 60 people affected by suspected phosphorus shells, at least one woman has died. Yousef Abu Rish a Palestinian medic says “These people were burned over their bodies in a way that can only be caused by white phosphorous”
