Troy Davis faces execution for the murder of Police Officer Mark MacPhail in Georgia, despite a strong claim of innocence. 7 out of 9 witnesses have recanted or contradicted their testimony, no murder weapon was found and no physical evidence links Davis to the crime. Please TAKE ACTION. Troy Davis was convicted in 1991 of killing Savannah police officer Mark Allen MacPhail. No murder weapon was produced by the Authorities and no physical evidence connected Davis to the killing. In addition, seven of the nine original state witnesses have since retracted or changed their testimonies in sworn affidavits. One of the two remaining witnesses is alleged to be the actual killer. |
