I’ve reported on this before when I got scammed by these thieving low-lifes and despite the so-called watchdog (regulator), www.phonepayplus.org.uk, telling me they’d fined the company £50,000 the scam continues. AfterI got the report from Phone Pay Plus I was scammed again by the same company. Finally, O2 my provider, got it stopped. Up to now I have not got my money back.
It is said we need legislation and I back the new petition calling for the phone companies to pay the stolen money back. But why should we need legislation to solve this problem? To take money from a person forcibly or without their permission is theft. So we should be able to go to the police and ask them to investigate and act. Does that happen no!
The so called watchdog is a voluntary body – funded by the industry and run by people in the industry. Apparently only they can refer a case to the police but they never do. I wonder why? It’s because there is millions in it for the industry that’s why.
